Our Story

Built on a Promise of Clarity

News Publication was founded in 2018 by a small group of journalists who shared a conviction: that quality reporting should be accessible to everyone, not locked behind paywalls or diluted by sensationalism. We began as a weekly digital newsletter, sending carefully researched long-form stories to a subscriber base of fewer than 500 readers.

Within two years, the newsletter had grown into a fully-fledged publication. We expanded our coverage to include daily news reporting, investigative features, and opinion columns written by contributors from across Europe and the Mediterranean. Our editorial model remains simple: assign stories that matter, report them rigorously, and present them with the respect our audience deserves.

Today, News Publication reaches thousands of readers daily. Our team operates from Athens, with correspondents in Thessaloniki, Brussels, and Berlin. We remain independently funded through reader subscriptions and select partnerships — never advertising that compromises editorial judgment.

Editorial Standards

Every story we publish goes through at minimum two rounds of editorial review. We verify sources independently, separate reporting from commentary, and issue corrections publicly when we get something wrong. Transparency is not a marketing claim — it is a daily practice in our newsroom. We disclose conflicts of interest, credit original reporting by other outlets, and maintain a standing corrections policy visible on every article page.
